So plebs, Godzilla is getting a reboot next year. So what do you guys think now that the disaster from 1998 will be nothing but a memory?

So plebs, Godzilla is getting a reboot next year. So what do you guys think now that the disaster from 1998 will be nothing but a memory? Godzilla 98 is a guilty pleasure as I actually enjoyed the look of that creature. The story was meh. Enough time has passed so that 98 is out of peoples' consciousness so that a fresh interpretation can be delivered and somewhat fitting considering it's the G-Man's 60th next year. It looks intriguing from what little we've seen thus far, but I won't be passing judgement until I see it.

I have been a die hard Godzilla fan ever since I was four years old. The franchise and the character have remained a very important part of my life. So when I heard the initial rumors in 2009 that a Legendary Pictures Godzilla was getting made I immediately kept on the look out for any news out there. Eventually, my love for Godzilla and excitement for the new movie helped me find four other Godzilla fans on YouTube who became very close friends of mine. As May 16th approaches I am sure that 1998 (one of two movies where even as a kid I hated) will be the kaiju equivalent of the 2003 Hulk movie, a forgotten misfire. Hail to the King! My four youtube friends and I, known as The Sons of Serizawa, recorded an epic-sized chat about our thoughts on the November trailer, the leaked toy, and everything that's been leading up to that point. I'll leave it here for anyone interested. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MnpgZ-1Mgo
